Are there spiritual and theological concepts you struggle to comprehend? Do you get frustrated trying to articulate what it means to be an Episcopalian? Do you desire to have a better understanding of your faith and tradition? If so, join us on Sunday mornings in the Dean’s Forum as we begin a new series, “Faith Seeking Understanding.”

Beginning this Sunday, February 15, at 10:10 a.m. in Child Hall, this series will be an opportunity for those interested to examine what it means to be a Christian in the Episcopal tradition. The season of Lent is “a time in which converts to the faith were prepared for Holy Baptism” (BCP, 265). Thus, this series will serve as our adult Confirmation class for those interested in being baptized, confirmed, received, or reaffirmed on Sunday, April 19. I will be on hand this Sunday to sign up those who are interested in making a public affirmation of their faith.

If you are new to the Episcopal Church, or have a child in youth Confirmation class, or were distracted during your own Confirmation class (guilty!), you will enjoy this series. The presentations will be offered by Dean Candler and a few of the clergy on the canon staff.

If you have questions about Confirmation or this class, contact me, Canon Wallace Marsh, wmarsh@stphilipscathedral.org or 404-365-1094.
