Cathy ZappaThe Rev. Cathy Zappa came to the Cathedral as Canon for Spirituality and Mission in December 2014, having previously served in a dual capacity, as part-time priest at Church of the Holy Spirit, in Cumming, and as Program Director of the Theological Studies program at Arrendale Prison, Alto, Georgia. She has served the Cathedral as Canon for Education and Worship, and has worked closely in the chaplaincy programs of the women’s prison system in Atlanta. Currently, she serves as Canon for Liturgy and Pastoral Care.

Before graduating with an M.Div. from Candler School of Theology at Emory in 2010, Cathy Zappa earned an M.A. from University of Texas in 1997 (in German literature) and a B.A. from University of Texas in 2000, majoring in English and intending a career in education. She also has a B.A. from University of Georgia (1994) in German.
