The Intersection of Prayer
and Life in the 21st Century:
A Day with
Richard Rohr
Saturday October 24, 2009 • 9am - 3pm
Fr. Richard, a well known transformative author, speaker and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation, will offer an exciting and challenging program that provides important implications for spirituality, personal transformation and social change. An internationally known speaker, Richard teaches on such themes as adult Christianity, politics and spirituality. The Center for Action and Contemplation, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was founded in 1987 to serve as a place of discernment and growth for activists and those interested in social service ministries—a place to be still, and learn how to integrate a contemplative lifestyle with compassionate service.
Please join us for this first annual Cathedral Spirituality Conference in celebration of the life and ministry of The Rev. William R. Payton. Bill was a beloved priest at the Cathedral and in this diocese with a passion for prayer and spirituality. Memorial contributions in his honor have helped to make this conference possible.
Get a head start by purchasing a copy of Fr. Richard’s newest book “The Naked Now: Learning to See as the Mystics See”, now available for sale at the Cathedral Book Store. Call 404-237-7582 to place your order.
