Join a Sunday School class this fall and discover a way of deepening your faith while defining relationships. Contact Amanda Stephenson, 404-365-1080 if you have questions about Adult Education. An array of Adult Christian Education classes, taught by Cathedral clergy, staff, lay members and guests from the community, are offered from 10:10–11:05 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Adult Inquirers Class (Room 381)
The Rev. Buddy Crawford and Canon Carolynne Williams will lead a 12-week confirmation class on Sunday mornings that begins March 7. This class is perfect for adults who wish to be baptized, confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church. This also is a great “refresher” course for current members. The class culminates in a Diocesan Confirmation service on May 23. To register, please contact Amanda Stephenson, 404-365-1080.
The Dean’s Forum (Child Hall)
Join Sam Candler, the Dean of the Cathedral, as he presents contemporary issues of faith and life, and leads discussion. With special guest speakers, current topics, and striking conversations, the Forum always has something for everyone! This Sunday, March 7, the topic is The Search for the Historical Jesus:Questions and Answers. Because there has been such little time for questions in the past two weeks, Dean Sam Candler will summarize several New Testament issues and provide much time for questions and response.
Hear the Dean's Forum.
End of Life Decisions (Room 368)
Canon Todd Smelser will lead a two-week class on “End of Life Decisions: Preparations for the Final Celebrations of Life” on Sundays, March 14 and March 21. Each week our discussions will focus on a story from the collection Listening for God, Volume 3: Contemporary Literature and the Life of Faith, edited by Paula J. Carlson and Peter S. Hawkins. The book can be purchased at the Cathedral Bookstore. Come every week or drop in on a particular story of interest. Each class stands on its own. All are welcome! The class is facilitated by Ward Bondurant.
