Holy Eucharist Instruction Class
The annual Holy Eucharist Instruction Class began on January 8 and concludes on February 5. This class meets during the Sunday School hour in St. Mary’s Chapel. All first graders are encouraged to attend, and older children who have not yet participated are also welcome. Parents are asked to attend each class with their child. Please email Emily Bazzel and let her know that your child is planning to attend so that we will have enough notebooks on the first day. Note that the regular first grade Godly Play class will not meet during this period.

At the Cathedral of St. Philip, we nurture and support families by promoting a program that recognizes and fosters the unique gifts of our children and allows for faith formation in community.
We enjoy the strength of a program that utilizes curriculum resources of the highest quality. Our teachers are creative, faithful and dedicated, striving to teach through a variety of approaches; prayer and mission are an integral part of this process of faith formation. The three floors of the children’s education wing are alive with excitement and energy on Sunday! Families are welcomed with hospitality from our ministry volunteers. We strive each week to offer experiential learning to the youngest, full members of our Cathedral through Bible stories, worship and the Episcopal liturgy. Please look for a Green Apron volunteer on Sunday morning if you have questions.

The Nurturing Center accepts children who are not yet five by September 1, 2011, during the 11:15 a.m. service. Older children join their parents in worship.
